The new Centre for Innovation in Technologies and Education (CITE) will host the 2012 Digital Literacies Conference on Thursday June 14th 2012.
This FREE event is open to staff, students and visitors who want to know more about the ways in which we teach and learn are changing. The conference aim is to raise awareness across the University and the wider community of the importance of being digitally literate for research and education and to function effectively in a digital society.
The format of the conference is interactive, with sessions that allow for discussion and debate. There will be panels, posters and presentations, along with an ‘unkeynote’ with guest speakers who include Steve Wheeler, Doug Belshaw, Cristina Costa and Sue Beckingham. Sessions will be run by both staff and students with contributions from the Digital Literacy student champions.
Please get in touch with Fiona or Lisa if you have a digital literacy project that you would like to discuss or demonstrate at this event. You can choose any of the following presentation options:
